Spicy Tempeh skewers

These spicy yoghurt marinated tempeh skewers are easy to make and pack a ton of flavour. You just need your favourite blend of spices mixed with a soy based yoghurt and a block of tempeh to create these delicious plant based skewers. I served the skewers with a mushroom and sweet corn quinoa salad and a mixed green salad and a drizzle of sriracha sauce.

Preheat the oven to 180 C.

Mix the ground cumin, paprika, harissa spices in a bowl with thee yoghurt.

Cut the tempeh into bite size chunks and put into the yoghurt mix – stir and coat all the tempeh chunks in the yoghurt mixture. Cover and allow to marinate for at least 30 mins.

line a baking tray and put the tempeh onto the skewers and place them on the baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 25 mins.

While they are baking use the time to make a couple of salads to serve with the skewered tempeh.

After 25 mins in the oven, remove and serve with salads or rice of your choice.
