Waldorf Salad

This salad was first presented at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in 1893. The Waldorf salad recipe is deliciously simple, consisting of chopped apples, celery, grapes, and toasted walnuts in a mayonnaise dressing.

Line a serving dish with the leaves of a small cos lettuce.

Take 3 stalks of celery and slice them. Put them in a bowl

Slice a 100 gms of grapes in half and add to the bowl.

Chop the apple into cubes and add to the bowl.

Chop the walnuts, toast them, let them cool. Add them to the bowl.

Add 50 gms of plant based mayonnaise to the bowl and stir until completely combined. Season with pepper to suit.

Pour the mixture into the serving dish lined with the lettuce and serve.
